The MPs reiterated their demand for Ken’s dismissal on December 1, 2022, stating that they expected the President to uphold his end of the bargain in their agreement with him.
It September 8, 2023. Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta is still in post.
Ghana had a 122 billion Ghana cedi debt as of December 2016.
The debt reached GH236 billion in three years, in 2019.
The government’s justification was and still is that “we borrowed to develop infrastructure.”

Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, a renowned heart surgeon and former minister of environment, science, technology, and innovation, delivered a report on the operations of the inter-ministerial committee on illegal mining (IMCIM), whose head he was, on March 19, 2021.
The report, which was given to the Chief of Staff of the President’s Office, accused various government personnel of malfeasance.
Details of the report were leaked to the media in mid-April 2023.
Jubilee House characterized the charges in the former minister’s report as hearsay in an April 22, 2023 statement.
