It has been reported that one person has died in a motor vehicle accident that involved the convoy of Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady and wife of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The accident occurred on Saturday at Ohene-Nkwata, near Nobewam, a village in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The village is located on the Kumasi-Accra Highway.
However, it has been confirmed that Samira Bawumia is doing well and was unhurt in the accident.

The multi-vehicle accident involved the collision of two Toyota Land Cruisers, a Mercedes Benz car, and a Sprinter Benz bus.

Sources say eight victims were involved, but four sustained severe injuries.

It is also understood the deceased was with Samira’s entourage but is yet to be identified.

The convoy was heading to the Ashanti Region when the accident occurred.
