Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the vice president, is expected to win the party’s presidential primary on November 4, 2023, according to Kwabena Agyapong.
At the Asokore Mampong Roman Catholic Church on October 1, 2023, Mr. Agyapong made the forecast during the 10th anniversary celebration of his late mother.
Vice President Bawumia and his wife, as well as the NPP’s regional chair for Ashanti, Bernard Antwi Boasiko, regional minister for Ashanti, Simon Osei Mensah, and the leader of the Ashanti parliamentary caucus, Emmanuel Adjei Anhwere, all attended the ceremony.
Mr. Kwabena Agyapong thanked the Vice President and the party’s regional executives for showing their devotion to his family in his expressions of appreciation.

Prior to his departure from the New Patriotic Party, a number of Alan Kyeremang’s supporters were also present to show their support for the Agyapong family.
