Enoch Teye Mensah (ET), a seasoned politician and a former representative for Ningo Prampram, passed away at the age of 77.
He passed away on Sunday night in South Africa, where he was receiving medical attention.
E.T. Mensah, a member of the National Democratic Congress, served in a number of positions, including that of mayor of Accra, minister of youth and sports, minister of education, and councilor of state for the Greater Accra Region.
During the 1996 General Election, E.T. Mensah was chosen to serve in the Second Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. He remained the Ningo Prampram MP until 2016, when he was defeated by Samuel Nartey George in the NDC’s parliamentary primary.
