Yesterday, Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the Adjringanor Astro Turf, Progen FC and Still Believe FC played in a thrilling WK 22 match in zone 6 of the Garfa Division Two.
It poured fiercely for approximately an hour before the game and then began to drizzle for the entire 90 minutes. Hundreds of people stood in the rain for the game.
Anyone who came for a glimpse of the game was ecstatic to see the1st position team (Still Believe) and 2nd position team (Progen) in the zone 6 league table, with only 5 points splitting them. Progen scored an early winner through striker Samuel Owusu, which enabled Progen earn all three points in the game.
Mr. Kurt E.S Okraku (GFA President) arrived 7 minutes into the first half and sat in the rain for the entire 90 minutes before leaving.
I was surprised to see the GFA boss watching a division two game in the rain without a covered area to view it beneath. He didn’t get out of his car for the half, but after a ten-minute break he came back to sit in the rain.
The two sides were inspired to put up a fantastic performance just by his presence. I applaud the GFA president for employing the game changer while continuing to follow the Garfa Division Two League.
Kurt ES Okraku is committed to youth soccer, and I am aware of this because we have previously worked together. I met him through youth football. Odiagro Kofi Asante claims.
