The People’s National Convention (PNC) Women’s Wing has promised to win the upcoming general elections in 2024.
PNC General Secretary Janet Nabla spoke to reporters on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in Koforidua. She claimed that with its current policies, the PNC, as a third force, had the power to drastically change the course of the nation.
Nabla announced with confidence that they would win the elections in 2024.
“Indeed, we are winning. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have exchanged power among themselves, and Ghanaians have understood that two political parties have not assisted them, thus they are searching for a third force. The PNC is the change that Ghanaians are hoping for. We intend to arrive fully committed,” she declared.
“School nutrition, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), and the GETFund are among the policies that PNC operates nationwide. These are the same policies that PNC ran on in 1999. The people who gain from these initiatives are Ghanaians. To enable us to carry out our programs as intended, we are bringing our might to the table. Naturally, there will be difficulties if you choose my program and put it into practice. We will add additional meat to the skeletons you are now viewing when we arrive.
In the impending general elections scheduled for December 2024, the Women’s Wing of the PNC has declared its intention to propose women for forty percent of the 257 parliamentary seats.
Operation Get Women Parliamentarians is an effort to strengthen the nation’s multiparty system and increase women’s participation in wider decision-making processes.
