On Monday, a truck collided with a minibus, or trotor, on the Amasaman-Nsawam stretch of the N6 highway in Greater Accra, allegedly resulting in seven deaths.
It is said that three more people made it out of the accident. The minibus driver is reported to have slowed down at a potholed section of the road because of the ongoing reconstruction of the Pokuase-Nsawam section of the N6 highway.
However, the truck couldn’t slow down as it was trailing it quickly.
Eyewitnesses claim that the truck struck the minibus [trotro] from behind, killing all of the passengers.
When rescuers extracted the victims from the wrecked car, they were unconscious.
