Numerous shops at Accra’s Kwame Nkrumah Circle have been destroyed by fire.
According to reports, the fire began on May 21, 2023, at approximately 1 pm.
The fire is currently being put out on-site by members of the Ghana National Fire Service with assistance from the police.
The fire team was making every effort to put out the fire, according to Assistant Divisional Officer (ADO) II Alex King Nartey, an officer from the GNFS Headquarters’ Public Relations Department, who spoke with Graphic Online.
“As a service, when we come on site, our main priority is to reduce damage and where the stores are situated, there is a fuel filling station close by, so we are doing our very best to prevent the fire from reaching that side,” he explained.
