John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has passionately urged Ghanaians to vote against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming general elections on December 7.
Mahama criticized the NPP government, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for what he described as poor economic management, which has resulted in widespread financial hardship across the country.
During a political rally in the Savannah Region as part of his nationwide campaign, Mahama stressed that only a change in government could bring much-needed relief to Ghanaians.
He accused the NPP of economic mismanagement and failing to take responsibility for the country’s struggles, despite clear signs of decline in key sectors such as currency depreciation and rising cement prices.
Mahama did not hold back in his criticism, highlighting the cedi’s depreciation and the surge in the price of cement as examples of the NPP’s economic failures.
He encouraged voters to reject the NPP, emphasizing that the government refuses to acknowledge the hardships it has caused, yet still claims to be better economic managers.
