The former president John Agyekum Kufuor’s office has denied rumors that he has passed away.
We want to firmly refute this claim and make it clear that the former president is still very much alive and well.
Over the weekend, there were rumors that the Second President of the Fourth Republic had passed away. His recent and extended absence from the public fueled the rumors.
The public was advised to “disabuse their minds of these malicious and uncanny rumors that spring out of nowhere,” according to a press release published by his office on Tuesday, July 18.
The statement was made in a press release that was signed by Special Aide and Spokesperson Dr Kwabena Osei-Adubofour. “The office further urges those who may be behind the propagation of such wicked untruths to desist from them henceforth; there have been far too many,” it said.
“We can only speculate that the perpetrators do so out of mischief-making and possibly for unfathomable political purposes.”
It called for God’s continuous blessings rather for the former president.
