The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is currently leading the #OccupyBoG demonstration in Accra.
On Tuesday, October 3, demonstrators came to the streets to express their displeasure and make demands of the government.
The protest’s main demand is the immediate dismissal of the Bank of Ghana Governor and his deputies.
This call is due to officials’ gross incompetence and its contribution to the Bank of Ghana’s financial troubles.
The protest which commenced at Obra Spot and is scheduled to conclude at Independence Square, with a planned U-turn at the National Lottery Authority.
Participants in the protest are predominantly dressed in black and red attire, with many sporting red caps on their heads.
Throughout the demonstration, they can be heard chanting patriotic songs, expressing their collective voice for change and accountability.
The Ghana Police Service says it has taken proactive measures by deploying its personnel to ensure the smooth facilitation of the ongoing demonstration.
