Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has referred to the current government as the true “loot and share” group.

On Saturday, September 30, 2023, the Assin Central Member of Parliament made the accusation while speaking to a group of businessmen at the True Vin Hotel in Kumasi.

The lawmaker criticized the government for prioritizing personal gain over economic growth.

As per his statement, the current ruling government, which secured victory in the 2016 election with about 1 million votes and backing from the business community, is involved in widespread corruption and misappropriation of Ghana’s resources. He alleged that they are stealing and transferring the nation’s funds overseas. He stated his readiness to put his life on the line to save the country from this dishonest faction.

Over the weekend, thousands of NPP supporters and delegates participated in a health walk called “Showdown Walk” in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

Mostly Kennedy Agyapong fans used the walk to support his vision ahead of the party’s November 4, 2023 primaries.
