The New Patriotic Party (NPP), according to its general secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, has an unmatched record of reviving Ghana’s economy.
He stressed that the NPP has proven to be a better economic manager than the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
While noting the difficulties presented by COVID-19 and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Mr. Kodua also emphasized the party’s achievements since taking office in January 2017.
He also praised President Akufo-Addo and former President Kufuor for their economic expertise.
“We have a better track record than our opponents in managing Ghana’s economy.” The truth is that the NDC is feeling more confident now since the Russia-Ukraine War and COVID-19 have undone the progress we made as soon as we took power on January 7, 2017.
From January 7, 2001, until January 7, 2009, under President John Agyekum Kufuor, Ghana’s economy was lifted out of the doldrums the NDC had left behind for the NPP. Once more, under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the economy expanded by an average of 7% from a previous NDC standstill that lasted for three years before the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 outbreak and Russia’s conflict in Ukraine.”
“The truth is that we are fixing the economy, and soon, the hardships of today will be history. The assurance to Ghanaians that we will regenerate the economy is manifest in our record,” he said.
