Former President John Mahama has advised nurse trainees to seek stable employment rather than rely on allowances.
He emphasized the need for sustainable employment opportunities in the healthcare sector. He criticized the current government for failing to honor its commitment to nurses, noting that many have gone without their allowance for up to 30 months. Mr. Mahama pledged to resume and complete hospital projects that were abandoned by the current administration.
He also committed to completing the Agenda 111 hospitals to create more employment opportunities for healthcare professionals.
