Dr George Akuffo Dampare is scheduled to appear before the ad-hoc committee investigating the plot to oust the Inspector General of Police on Tuesday, September 12. This disclosure was made by Samuel Atta Akyea, the Chairman of the 7-member committee.
All three senior police officers who have already testified before the committee, COP Alex Mensah, Superintendent George Asare, and Superintendent Emmanuel Eric Gyebi, are anticipated to return with their lawyers on Tuesday, September 12.
“The IGP himself should also come with his lawyers,”
Although the details of some significant accusations have been made public, the accusations themselves have not. We will investigate the evidence that supports such charges, therefore we will use our best judgment to choose which material to provide to the public without jeopardizing national security, he said

The three men involved have admitted to using their voices, and when asked if they did some of the things that were attributed to them, they said yes, Mr. Cudjoe said
“What is happening initially, obviously I thought was a waste of everybody’s time,” he added. The committee’s task was finished for me there.
He questioned why the committee was promoting “storytelling” in some way from the witnesses, especially the police personnel, which was eventually leading to a reconsideration of the Ghana Police Service’s mandate. He remarked,
“I don’t understand why the committee chairman is engaging narrative and then all of a sudden we are into these circles of comedy of mistakes.
