President Nana Akufo-Addo has named Herbert Krapa, the deputy minister of energy, as the new board chair of the Electricity Company Ghana (ECG).
Keli Gadzekpo, who resigned on Tuesday, March 26, for personal reasons, is replaced by Mr. Krapa.
It is anticipated that Herbert Krapa will head the ECG Board in handling the nation’s recent power cuts.
Due to what many refer to as the “return of dumsor,” the ECG has recently been under strain. While the Energy Minister has refuted reports that Dumsor is returning, detractors argue the government ought to release a schedule that would allow them to make life plans.
