According to Ghanaian rapper Guru NKZ, he stopped marketing his latest single last year since his baby mother passed away from breast cancer.
The rapper, whose true name is Maradona Yeboah Adjei, said that he was crushed by the loss and wanted time to grieve.
I also had to travel to Australia to attend the burial with my baby mama’s family, he continued.
The CEO of NKZ Music revealed that he was hesitant to release his latest song, “Can’t Touch This,” but ultimately chose to do so as a tribute to his deceased partner.
Guru’s first song of the year, the song was created by DobMusic. He emphasized that he is now eager to tour the world and promote his new song. Also, he appreciates the fans’ who helped during this trying period.
A decade ago, Guru, a well-known hiplife singer with a strong record of successful songs, gained notoriety by appearing on “Kasiebo,” a song by hiplife superstar Obrafour.
