Ghanaian forward Zuberu Sharani had an unforgettable moment after Slovan Bratislava’s UEFA Champions League match against Manchester City, where he met his idol, Erling Haaland.
Making his debut in the prestigious competition, Sharani came on in the second half during a tough 4-0 defeat to the reigning champions.
Haaland, who scored one of the goals along with Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden, and James McAtee, is someone Sharani has long admired. This encounter was a dream come true for the former Ghana U20 striker, who took the opportunity to connect with his favorite player at Tehelne Pole.
Despite the loss, Sharani has been working hard in the Slovak league, with three appearances this season and a goal in the Slovnaft Cup. Slovan Bratislava is looking to bounce back as they prepare to face Girona in their next European outing, aiming to secure their first points in the competition after earlier defeats to Celtic and Manchester City.
