On Friday morning, a fire broke out at a gas booster station called Quantum Gas next to the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) pipeline.
All of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) that is transported to the Tema Port is discharged.
According to reports, the incident took place as the corporation was moving gas from ships at the Port to the booster station for distribution to terminals nearby.
No damage has yet been reported, according to the Tema Oil Refinery’s managers.
According to the Public Relations Officer, Matilda Adjoa Frempah, the fire will not have an influence on TOR’s daily operations, adding that “this is not going to affect what is supposed to go to market.” The item will be distributed as usual.
