Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused President Akufo-Addo of presiding over the most corrupt government in the history of Ghana.
Despite the President’s promises to eliminate corruption during his campaign, the veteran politician claims that his administration has failed to do so since taking office in 2017.
Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe made these remarks during an interview on JoyNews’ AM Show on Thursday, March 14, 2024. He explained that the NPP had pledged to end corruption, but instead, the current administration has become the worst in the country’s history.
He also shared his thoughts on the potential future of Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP party. Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe alleged that President Akufo-Addo financially supported Dr Bawumia in securing his position as the party’s flagbearer. He further stated that Dr Bawumia may face challenges in gaining the support of the majority of party members as he is not currently in the right position.
