Chris Hughton, the head coach of Ghana, stated that every game—at home or away—is hard.
He makes this statement before today’s Black Stars game at Moroni Stadium, which is the team’s second Group I matchup against Comoros.
At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, Ghana defeated Madagascar in their opening qualifier match thanks to a header from Inaki Williams in the 95th minute.
Hughton clarified before today’s game that while every game is challenging, this one will be treated as a one-off.
“Whether we play at home in Ghana or away from home, every game we play is challenging. We recently triumphed over Madagascar.
“The way Comoros performed against the Central African Republic was excellent. We have always been prepared in the same way. Every game we’ve played has required the same level of preparation from us.
Every game is unique. We always need to treat the upcoming game as a one-off, regardless of previous outcomes.
To start the qualifying campaign, the Black Stars defeated Madagascar in the 95th minute of play. They now aim to win two straight games and top Group I.
The game will kick off at 4 pm.
