Before Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualification against Madagascar in June 2023, Chris Hughton has called in 19-year-old Ernest Nuamah.
The teenager has been rewarded with a call-up to the senior men’s national team after attracting the interest of numerous European teams with his fifteen goals and four assists.
Jordan and André Ayew, the Black Stars’ deputy captains, are also on the team. Thomas Partey is also a candidate as Ghana tries to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Ivory Coast the following year. Surprisingly, Kwesi Okyere Wriedt is on the roster, taking the place of the injured Antoine Semenyo, with Mohammed Salisu also out injured.
