The hearing of Charles Bissue’s case, in which he seeks to enforce his human rights against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), has been adjourned to March 11, 2024.
This is due to the retirement of Justice Nicholas Mensah Abodakpi, who was previously presiding over the case at the Human Rights Court 2, and the subsequent delay in assigning a new judge to the case docket.
On February 21, Justice Barbara Tetteh-Charway presided as a relieving judge at the Human Rights Court 1, but the case was adjourned before her sitting.
The suit was originally scheduled for February 1, 2024, but the Court did not sit, which led to an adjournment to February 21.
Meanwhile, the Written Submission on behalf of the Applicant (Charles Bissue) was filed on January 31, 2024.
The OSP’s Written Submission has also been served on Lawyers of the Applicant led by Nana Agyei Baffour-Awuah on February 1, 2024.
