Abdul Baba Rahman, a left-back player for the Ghanaian and PAOK teams, collapsed during a Greek Cup match against Panathinaikos.
The incident happened in the 115th minute of the semi-final game when a Panathinaikos player collided with Rahman’s head.
Fortunately, he received swift medical attention to prevent any fatal injury. Rahman was immediately taken to the hospital where he lost consciousness but was later reported to be in stable condition.
The referee paused the game temporarily before moving on to penalty shoot-outs, with Panathinaikos winning 6-5 to eliminate PAOK from the Greek Cup.
