Entering the final four and still hoping to win a medal, Ghana defeated Benin 1-0 at the University of Ghana stadium to advance.
After defeating Gambia and Benin and splitting the points with Congo, the Ghana U20 squad finished with seven points from three games.
Congo advances from Group A to join Ghana, the host country of the African Games, while Senegal and Uganda advance from Group B.
The top three teams will compete for the football medal in the semi-finals, which are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Senegal will play The Black Princesses in the final four, having advanced to the semi-finals by winning their group.
The Black Satellites will play Senegal in the semi-final of the competition on Tuesday to win gold.
