Gideon Kodua scored a stunning goal from 40 yards against Arsenal in West Ham’s 5-1 win in the FA Youth Cup final.
In the seventh minute, Omari Benjamin followed in a superbly saved attempt to curl in from the outside of the box, and West Ham flawlessly reacted.
Prior to Gideon Kodua’s cross being headed in by Callum Marshall for the Irons’ first goal, George Earthy scored a stunning goal from 20 yards out to square the game.
Just before halftime, West Ham’s skipper Kodua extended his team’s lead by grabbing the ball from the Arsenal defense and blasting it past goalkeeper Noah Cooper from 40 yards.
The young Hammers fought hard in the second half and earned a fourth goal 12 minutes from time when Kaelan Casey rose highest to head home Ollie Scarles’ corner.
West Ham’s fifth goal came with Josh Briggs’ first touch after coming on.
The young Hammers lifted the trophy for the fourth time in the Club’s history.
