In a recent interview, Rev. Professor Paul Frimpong-Manso, a former President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council, expressed deep concern over the increasing illegal mining (galamsey) activities in the country.
He stated that these activities are severely impacting water bodies and warned that the issue poses an existential threat to the nation if not addressed immediately.
The Reverend went on to say that these illegal mining activities are not only destroying the environment but also the livelihoods of the people who depend on these water bodies for their survival.
He urged the government to take immediate action to address this critical issue.
