The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has warned that the country will experience two rainstorms on Thursday, May 16. The first rainstorm, originating from northern Benin into Togo, is expected to move westwards, affecting the northern half of Ghana.
The second rainstorm, observed over Nigeria, is also predicted to move westwards, impacting the coastal and middle parts of the country.
The storms are expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds, and thunder. GMet emphasized the increased risk of flooding and wind damage and urged residents in vulnerable areas to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
