Abdul Bashir, the assistant coach of Hearts of Oak, has voiced his dissatisfaction with the team’s recent performance in the Ghana Premier League, which has caused them to fall in the standings.
The Phobians are currently four points above the relegation zone in 12th place in Ghana’s top division, having lost five of their last six games.
They were defeated by local rivals Accra Lions on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium, giving up a winner in the 56th minute. This defeat comes after their loss to Legon Cities the previous Saturday.
After the match, Bashir bemoaned the team’s lack of effectiveness in front of goal.
“Our primary issue, which we have been dealing with, is goal scoring. You can see them scoring in training, but we have no idea why. We must return and make our necessary corrections,” he stated to StarTimes.
“We’re not content. The supporters ought to believe in and support us. We can visit Chelsea and deliver the three points to them.
Hearts will now focus on their match on Saturday, May 4, against Samuel Boadu’s Berekum Chelsea.
