A Ghana Air Force helicopter has crashed-landed in Bonsokrom, located within the Ahanta West Municipality in the Western Region.
Witnesses said that 14 people, including regulators from the petroleum industry, were being transported by the helicopter, which is being guarded by Air Force soldiers.
Residents in the vicinity of the Bonsokrom settlement were alarmed when the helicopter crashed into a thicket.
Reports state that all passengers and staff on board the aircraft are safe and have been rescued by Air Force troops, despite the scary nature of the incident.
The origin and destination of the flight are still unknown. It’s unknown at this point if the helicopter was heading from Accra to Takoradi or from offshore sets to Takoradi.
