The “Down Flat” singer, responding to a question by Radio host, Abeiku Sanatana, if he was snagging the Most Popular Song at the upcoming awards, affirmed that he did not trust organizers as mentioned by a member of his team.
“I don’t know… (pauses) and to be honest we don’t trust them, even the Grammy awards people have issues with it,” he pointed out.
Kelvynboy who is a former winner of the Unsung Artiste category at the VGMA’s explained that all the other competitors were extremely good and losing out to any of them will hurt really bad.
“If I don’t win it, I’ll be hurt but there are other equally popular songs on there and I deserve it too if I pick up the award. When I looked at the nomination, I saw other very good artiste there so it’s cool whichever way,” he said
Kelvyn Boy has received nominations for Most Popular Song of the Year and the Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards organized by Charterhouse.
