The Accra Regional Police Command has summoned controversial broadcaster Captain Smart for questioning in relation to his allegations regarding the cause of death of Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah.
A police source verified that a host from Wontumi TV/Radio Oheneba Boamah, located in Kumasi, had also been invited for questioning after Captain Smart and his crew brought him up when they met with the police.
The Police source alleges that in a video that has since gone viral, Captain Smart and his team asserted that Oheneba, who they claimed was close to the late deputy finance minister, had verified the statements made by Mr. Smart.
The late deputy Finance Minister Mrs. Lilian Kumah’s wife filed an official complaint with the Accra Regional Police Command, which led to the current occurrence.
“Yes, it is true that Captain Smart has already been questioned about the situation,” I can affirm. The captain added that the police had to invite one Oheneba in Kumasi because he had verified his statements in a video. He is scheduled to meet with the regional leadership in Accra today to be questioned. which is this Friday,”
The source further noted that the Police are seeking to question these individuals with the hope of gathering evidence of substantial value which could help them in their investigations of the death of the late Ejisu MP.
