On Monday night, at Walewale in the North East Region, a mobile money operator was shot.
Since then, the victim—Rabiu—has been taken urgently to the Walewale Government Hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack happened at a crowded bus stop in the middle of the Walewale township, close to the Tamale Bolga Road’s Nalerigu intersection.
The witnesses also attested to the fact that the gunmen, who appeared on motorcycles in groups of three or four, occasionally fired warning shots before opening fire on the young operator.
Aremeyaw Somo Lucky, the Municipal Chief Executive, verified the attack and announced that the police had begun a manhunt for the perpetrators.
