The head coach of the Ghanaian national football team, the Black Stars, Chris Hughton, has stated that his players are well-informed about what they must do to achieve the desired outcome in their final group game at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The team is set to play against Mozambique on Monday evening, with hopes of earning their first three points of the tournament after failing to win any of their first two games.
The Black Stars lost their opening match against Cape Verde and then twice relinquished their lead to end up with a draw against Egypt in their second match.
Ghana drew against the Pharaohs and has only one point going into the last round of fixtures. A win in the next game could help them qualify for the next stage of the competition.
Ahead of Monday’s game, Hughton addressed the press and stated that the players know what it will take to achieve a good result.
He also stressed that there are no easy games in this tournament and the team needs to be physically and mentally prepared for the upcoming match.
If Ghana wins, they will have four points and move to second place, depending on the results from the Egypt vs. Cape Verde fixture.
