The former trade and industry minister Alan Kyerematen’s decision to leave the party has been characterized as unfortunate by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The NPP’s general secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, advised the party’s membership to be calm pending a formal address on the resignation in a press statement dated September 25, 2023.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership has taken note of Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen’s regrettable decision to resign from the party and run for president as an independent in the 2024 general election, Mr. Kodua Frimpong said.
