The 27th GJA Media Awards entry deadline has been extended by the National Executive of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) to Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 5pm.
The time to submit entries for the awards had been extended till 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in order to allow for the submission of entries by a greater number of members.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, “The National Executive particularly encourages journalism and communication trainees in accredited training institutions to contest for the ‘Best Student-Journalist of the Year’ award by submitting their entries.”
From January 1, 2022, until December 31, 2022, any journalistic work completed and published is eligible for the awards.
The first of its kind in the GJA’s history, the annual flagship event of the Association, the GJA has this year established an online submission mechanism for entries.
For more information and to submit entries, prospective participants are urged to go to https://awards.gjaghana.org.
The message encouraged “entrants who may experience difficulty in submitting their entries to contact the General Secretary on 024 427 5167 for assistance.”
Meanwhile, the National Executive is appealing to media and donor partners, as well as Corporate Ghana, to lend their support to the organization of the awards by donating generously towards that noble cause.
