Creative Media Institute (CMI) celebrated a momentous occasion on Saturday, July 22, 2023, as they proudly graduated 40 talented students, marking the beginning of their promising careers in the media industry. The graduation ceremony, hosted by the charismatic MC Sir Joe, took place at Tantra Hills Golden Door, Obiquest Multimedia, and saw an enthusiastic gathering of over 200 attendees, including family, friends, and esteemed guests.
Among the graduates, 37 were males and 3 were females, each equipped with skills honed in diverse creative fields. The majority of the students excelled in diploma programs specializing in Video Editing, Motion Graphics, TV/Radio Presentation and Photography, promising a bright future in the rapidly evolving media landscape.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, elevating the ceremony’s significance. Notable personalities include a former GJA Journalist of the Year and the esteemed Host for Single African Market Program, Mr. Samuel Agyeman. His current role as the Country Representative for the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Highway Development Project for ECOWAS, added prestige to the occasion. Joining him was Rev. Pyus Appiah, who heads the House of Faith AG, Peace Village Assemblies of God, and the renowned media figure, Mr. Samuel Agyapong, whose accomplishments and contributions have left an indelible mark in the industry.
“Four students received special awards. Mr. Awuah Daniel received the Most Creative Student Award 2021-2022. Mr. Imoro Basit received the Best Student actor 2021-2022. Mr. Tetteh Rapha Joe received the Best Student 2021-2022 Academic Year award, while the Best Student of all time went to Mr. Justice Ofori Atta.”
During the ceremony, the MC for the day kept the audience engaged and entertained, contributing to the lively and joyous atmosphere.
The CEO of Creative Media Institute, Benjamin Obeng Agyei, also delivered an inspiring speech to the graduates. He urged the freshly-minted graduates to leverage their skills effectively in the competitive job market and adapt to the changing technological landscape. Addressing the audience, he emphasized that the world had transitioned from the era of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI). As a result, the institute plans to introduce more AI-related courses to prepare the students for the dynamic challenges ahead.
