In the Eastern Region’s Abogri, a Koforidua suburb, a man’s body was discovered on the street.
He might have been lynched, according to unconfirmed reports. He was discovered chained to a sign post and naked with a piece of cloth covering his privates.
A burned-out tricycle that was thought to be his was discovered a few meters from the body.
The Assemblyman for the Area explained that he was asked to help get the police to recover the body. He is unable to identify the lyncher who executed him.
“I was called early in the morning to come and see the body and call the police to come and pick him up,” said Sowah. “I cannot confirm whether he was lynched or not.”
In order to begin their investigation, the police picked up the body and put it at St. Joseph Hospital in Effiduase.
On condition of anonymity, some locals claimed he may have been lynched for cable theft.
