The recently appointed Chief Justice, Gertrude Torkornoo, is said to detest dishonest individuals by her close friend Erika Mamley Osae.
She said that although the new Chief Justice is severe, she is also hilarious and added that her spirituality has helped her succeed in her new position.
On Monday, June 12, the Chief Justice took the oath of office at Jubilee House.
After being sworn in, Justice Torkornoo’s acquaintance said, “My lady Araba Esaaba Gertrude Torkornoo is a friend and a big sister to me,” . She is a mother to her kids as well as a wife to her husband, Foo Kofi. And because she is genuine, she has won the hearts of many. But she detests those who lack moral character. She is direct, by which I mean severe, but also funny. When she is in her element and making her all-nation soup, the bowl is delicious. She is highly domesticated.
Not only that, but she’s also quite strict and funny. She speaks truth to power. She is naturally a teacher and is constantly instructing me. I am always studying the law. She will explain the factors that were taken into consideration when making decisions, so whether I like it or not, I will have to learn. She is incredibly devout, God-fearing, and private, and I believe it is what motivates and propels her on.
Erika Mamley stated that she is not shocked by her friend’s latest accomplishment.
Erika Mamley Osae emphasized, “I’m not astonished, simply that it has happened lot faster than I imagined.
When asked what Ghanaians may anticipate from the next Chief Justice, Madam Erika Mamley Osae responded, “Clarity; she will not stray from her character. We can be confident that she is a very sensible person because we have a Chief Justice who is very excellent.
After Justice Kwesi Anin Yeboah retired in May, Justice Gertrude Torkornoo took over as Chief Justice.
On Wednesday, June 7, the Parliament accepted her appointment.
